Research in Purdue Agriculture is bringing science to practice in a wide range of areas such as improved varieties of crops and cropping systems; economic development and policy issues; hardwoods; livestock production; food safety and value-added agricultural products; and biofuels.

Purdue Extension brings science-based knowledge to bear to help communities solve problems and improve citizens’ day-to-day lives. In addition to its traditional mission of service to producers, homemakers and 4-Hers, Purdue Extension delivers educational programs that enable new value-added business to flourish in Indiana.
Our students are studying for a range of careers from park naturalist to molecular biologist. We graduate biologists, medical doctors-to-be, economists, teachers, engineers, communicators and biochemists; all of them connected through the disciplines of food, agriculture and natural resources.
