The Center for Integrated Food Manufacturing at Purdue University is a interdisciplinary group that conducts fundamental and applied research leading to improved food manufacturing through process engineering and advanced technology. In addition, we can provide educational workshops on processing and technology tailored to the food industry.

The CIFM is affiliated with the Center for Advanced Manufacturing which was recently created at Purdue University. Our role is to partner with the food industry to help improve food manufacturing processes, especially within Indiana. In the CIFM, food scientists who understand the physical, chemical and microbiological properties and behavior of food work jointly with engineers to understand, optimize, and design food processes, control systems, and industrial networks for efficient and safe food production.
