RUSH COUNTY FAIR - JUNE 23 - 30, 2012Fair Picture
Join us at the Rush County Fair in 2012. It will be from Saturday, June 23 through Saturday, June 30. Yes, rides will start on Saturday this year.
Indiana State FairIndiana State Fair
Indiana State Fair - Friday, August 3 through Sunday, August 19. Come join the fun at the Indiana State Fair. Rush County is well represented with many 4-H'ers showing animals or having exhibits at the 4-H Exhibit Hall and Centennial Hall. Programs are available at the Extension Office in the Courthouse.
2012 Sewing SeminarSewing Seminar
The 2012 Rush County Extension Homemakers Sewing Seminar has been scheduled for Saturday, March 31, at the Rushville Elementary School. Each participant will be able to attend one 40-minute session with Special Guest Presenter  Cindy Claycamp, who will speak on "150 Years of Quilting". Participants will also be able to choose three other mini-sessions from the eight being offered. Click HERE to access the mail-in registration form.
Nancy Bell ScholarshipScholarship
The Nancy Bell Scholarship is available to Rushville Consolidated High School or Knightstown High School seniors who have been accepted at an accredited college. One of the pre-requisites is that applicant must have completed at least four (4) years of 4-H.  Click HERE to view the scholarship application, which can be printed off, filled out and turned in to the Extension Office.
2012 Women in Ag ConferenceWomen in Ag Conference
The 2012 Midwest Women in Agriculture conference is scheduled for February 29-March 1 in Shipshewana at the Shipshewana Town Center. Included will be breakout sessions for all farm women, no matter what their interest or role in the family farm. Rush County Parenting CouncilPparenting Logo
The Rush County Parenting Council is open to individuals and organizations who are interested in fostering the development of effective parenting skills and building a system of good support for families raising children in Rush County. The Council meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m., in Room 102 (Commissioners' Room) of the Rush County Courthouse, EXCEPT the FEBRUARY 16 MEETING WILL BE HELD AT THE PHOENIX HOUSE beginning at 4 P.M.
 
The Council has prepared a brochure of Parenting Resources in Rush County. Copies of the brochure may be obtained at the Rush County Extension Office, Room 103 of the Rush County Courthouse, or online under the Parenting Link in the left margin of this page.
