State and federal funding for Extension programs has been flat or in some cases reduced due to budget recissions during recent years. For 2012, there will be a new state 4-H program fee of $15 per 4-Her which caps at three 4-Hers living in a same household. To facilitate online enrollment, rather than the county program fees being project based (last year $3 per project), there will be a county program fee of $10 per 4-Her in 2012 . The Putnam County 4-H Council purchases the manuals and some of the other materials that all 4-Her’s use throughout the year. Some projects have purchased manuals that have a $5 fee but can be used for multiple years.  (More)
