Agricultural Research Programs (ARP) facilitates innovative science by providing administrative support to departments and faculty in the College of Agriculture, College of Consumer and Family Sciences, and School of Veterinary Medicine. ARP works closely with Purdue Extension and the Indiana State Department of Agriculture to transfer the research-based knowledge generated by Purdue faculty and staff to citizens across Indiana and around the world.

Our signature areas include Agricultural Competitiveness, the Bioeconomy, the human Ecological Footprint, and Nutrition and Health of both humans and animals. Our faculty are involved in cutting-edge discovery and use-inspired research, addressing the fundamentals of nature and the grand challenges of society. Our scientific endeavors are supported by a portfolio of gifts, grants, and contracts from state and federal agencies, community and industry stakeholders, and associated commodity groups.

• Conduct research in state-of-the-art facilities on and near the West Lafayette campus, including Discovery Park, Purdue’s innovative venue for interdisciplinary research
• Operate eight regional Purdue Agricultural Centers in areas representative of the state's varied soil types and microclimates, where site-specific research is conducted and results conveyed to local farmers and community members
