Extension:
  • Provide technical information on plant nutrition, nutrient management and cropping systems to farmers, county educators, and industry.
  • Primary plant nutrition diagnostician for the Plant and Pest Diagnostic Laboratory. 
  • Develop a series of workshops on nutrient management and produce educational materials (hard copy and electronic) for the Certified Crop Advisor Program and associated continuing education. 

Research Areas:

  • Root/soil interrelationships and nutrient accumulation patterns for Indiana cropping systems.
  • Indigenous soil potassium, fertilizer-potassium use efficiency, and potassium balance in Indiana corn and soybean production. 
  • Examine fertilizer recommendations and use efficiency in Indiana cropping systems.
