Hayatullah Ahmadzai

Hayat was born in November 12th 1982 in Paktia province, Afghanistan. He spent part of his life time in Pakistan as immigrant and completed his secondary school in Pakistan. After the Soviet Union had collapsed in Afghanistan he returned back to his home country Afghanistan and completed his high school. He entered in Agriculture department at Kabul University in 2001 and received his bachelor’s degree in 2005.

After completion of his Bachelor’s, he joined as an instructor in the department of agronomy at Kabul University, Afghanistan. After one and half years working at the university, he was awarded a fellowship funded by USAID to continue his master’s degree in Agricultural Economics at Purdue University. He came to the United States in October 29,  2007 and has received training at IUPUI to meet the language requirement and prepare for his graduate school. 

Hayat has started his graduate studies in the winter 2009; he has been working to completing his coursework as well as to conduct research. Hayat is interested to conduct his research in Production economics.
