Curriculum Vitae

 

Dr. Frank Dooley’s primary responsibility is working with all aspects of the curriculum serving the 400 undergraduate students in the Department of Agricultural Economics. As Teaching Coordinator, his responsibility is to ensure there is a direct link between the skills needed by food and agribusiness companies, the learning outcomes of our students, and the coursework offered by the Department of Agricultural Economics.


He has primary teaching responsibility for AGEC 100 - Introductory Agricultural Business and Economics , AGEC 333 - Food Distribution: A Retailing Perspective , and AGEC 533 - Supply Chain Management For Food And Agribusiness . He also teaches AGR 101 Introduction To The College Of Agriculture And Purdue University , the departmental honors program, and serves as the internship coordinator. In the May 2006, he will take a group of students to Australia .


Dr. Dooley has won 11 awards for outstanding teaching and advising, including the American Agricultural Economics Association Outstanding Undergraduate Teacher in 2000 , the David C. Pfendler College of Agriculture Outstanding Counselor Award in 2004, and was named a Faculty Fellow in Purdue University's Teaching Academy in 2002. He is the Education Representative to the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals , Indianapolis Chapter.


He is an active presenter in programs at the Center for Food and Agricultural Business . His research program in agribusiness currently focuses upon logistics and supply chain management. His research has addressed economic and legal aspects of the rail, motor carrier, airline, and country grain elevator industries. His publication record includes two books, 30 publications in refereed or edited journals, 31 abstracts or proceedings, and 45 technical reports, and 51 miscellaneous papers or presentations.
