 Agricultural Policy Resources

Farmers and landowners must decide whether to sign-up for ACRE in 2009 by August 14.  The Farm Service Agency has a spreadsheet calculator which can be used to analyze the ACRE program.  There is also a Texas A&M spreadsheet calculator that incorporates variability of prices and yields.  Roman Keeney will go through how to use the calculators in the ACRE decision.

This training program assumes some familiarity with ACRE provisions and will focus on using the Texas A&M model (required inputs, why they are needed, how to save different scenarios etc.).  Roman will then focus on key items in the model’s output.
