Corn Breeder - Central Indiana, 7234

A candidate with a PhD or MS in Plant Breeding and Genetics is needed to fill a Corn Breeder position in central IN. This job will be

responsible for developing new corn inbreds, integrating molecular marker assisted technologies into breeding activities, plus being

able to work into a managerial role to coordinate and execute a comprehensive breeding program. This will be a combination of

inside and outside work. You may also operate plot combines and planters. Experience with Kincaid and Almaco will be helpful.

Your responsibilities will increase with time. Company prefers you have 3 to 5 years experience with corn in the field and have a

comprehensive knowledge of agronomics and production practices. You must have excellent computer skills, have an understanding

of biotechnology and intellectual property rights, and have knowledge and experience in experimental design and statistical analysis.

Company will look at all candidates with molecular marker experience, regardless of experience in corn. A PhD is preferred, but will

look at MS candidates with industry experience. You must be able to work in a team and be able to write and speak well. A farm
