Craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a willingness to help others are the main characteristics that make Mike Weber an important part of the AgComm’s Exhibit Center team. A master craftsman Mike is a Jefferson High School graduate. Prior to coming to the Exhibit Center Mike spent four years in the U.S. Air Force and was owner/ operator of his own hobby shop. (He was named the National Hobby Dealer of the Year in 1971.) He originally came to Purdue in 1981 where he supervised the cabinet shop for the Biology Department. His responsibilities included designing and fabrication of lab furniture and equipment, as well as, maintaining the shop and its equipment. After 22 years of service he retired from his full time position in 2002 and joined our team on a part time basis. His responsibilities here include the fabrication and installation of exhibits for the College of Agriculture and Purdue Extension.
