Jerry Shafer, Marketing Specialist, is responsible for developing marketing programs for the wide range of educational materials developed by the College of Agriculture and sold through the Purdue Extension Education Store. Shafer joined Purdue in March of 2008, after 15 years with Farm Journal Media, where he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for AgDay Television and later AgWeb.com. During that time he was recognized with several national awards by the National Agri-Marketing Association, including the best in multi-media campaigns and best in television commercials. Shafer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising Design from Iowa State University in 1971.
