Rebecca Goetz, Publishing Unit coordinator, consults with and edits material for Purdue Agriculture’s Office of Academic Programs, the Department of Youth Development and Agricultural Education, the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, and Agriculture Information Technology. Goetz joined AgComm in 1991 as a science writer and editor of a quarterly tabloid. In 2001, she moved from the writing to the editing staff. She was a pre-veterinary medicine student counselor and outreach coordinator for science teachers for the Office of Academic Programs. She also has been a writer/illustrator in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology; an admissions counselor for Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio; and a high school general science teacher. Goetz earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and education from Heidelberg College and a master of agriculture degree from Purdue in horticulture and journalism.
